Trip Overview
An easy Himalayan trekking experience covering Chopta, Tungnath Temple, Chandrashila Peak, Deoriatal Lake, Sari Village, Devprayag, Dhari Devi Temple and Omkareshwar Temple. The trek reaches an altitude of approximately 13,000 feet and covers around 12 km of trekking.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Delhi to Rishikesh
Depart from Delhi for Rishikesh. Overnight journey by road.
Rishikesh to Sari Village - Deoriatal Trek
Reach Rishikesh in the morning and drive towards Sari Village. Stop at Devprayag to witness the Sangam of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers. Take a break at Srinagar for lunch at personal expense. Reach the homestay or hotel in Sari Village in the afternoon. Start the approximately 2.5 km trek to Deoriatal Lake and enjoy the scenic beauty. Descend back to Sari Village in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel or homestay.
Sari Village - Chopta - Tungnath - Chandrashila
Wake up early and enjoy sunrise views from the mountains. After breakfast, head towards Tungnath Temple. Trek approximately 3.5 km to reach Tungnath, one of the highest Shiva temples in the world. Continue towards Chandrashila Peak for panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Descend back to the tent or homestay in Chopta or Sari by evening. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight.
Chopta - Rishikesh - Delhi
Wake up in the mountains, have breakfast and prepare for departure. Complete remaining sightseeing including Omkareshwar Temple and Dhari Devi Temple. Reach Rishikesh in the evening and continue the journey towards Delhi.
